Teleoperation, in one take

Teleoperation, in one take

You move the leader arm and the follower repeats it. That is the difference from a construction set: the motion can be recorded and replayed, and the recordings are the dataset you train a model on later.

This edition

What this edition adds

The same open SO-ARM101 design, the same servos — and the things you would otherwise print, buy or improvise before the first lesson.

Two colours, one pair

The leader is black, the follower is white. On camera, in a classroom and in your recordings you always know which arm is which.

Objects to practise on

A red cube, an orange cylinder, a yellow cone and a hex nut — the shapes the pick-and-place and vision modules use, so the first lessons start without a trip to the shop.

An ArUco cube

A fiducial marker on every face. Pose estimation, tracking and marker-guided grasping work with the camera on the follower arm from day one.

Black cables and a printed guide

Servo cables that match the frame, and a printed step-by-step assembly booklet with a QR code into Robonine Lab. Building the arms is the first module.

A student, a real task, no code yet

Pick-and-place with the training objects, a few minutes after connecting the arms. The camera on the follower is what the vision modules use next.

Robonine Lab is included — free

Every kit comes with access to Robonine Lab, a browser platform: connect the arms over USB, Bluetooth or WebRTC and work through twelve modules — assembly, calibration, teleoperation, pick-and-place, computer vision, ArUco tracking, neural-network recognition and a final project. FAQ

Before you buy

How is this different from the black kit?

Same SO-ARM101 arms, same servos, same open design. This edition ships the leader in black and the follower in white, adds the training objects and the ArUco cube, uses black servo cables, and includes access to Robonine Lab.

How do I get into Robonine Lab?

Go to lab.robonine.com and sign in with Google, GitHub or your email. Access is included with the kit at no extra charge; the first module is the assembly you are about to do.

Does it work with LeRobot without modification?

Yes. SO-ARM101 is part of the open SO-100/SO-101 ecosystem and works with the Hugging Face LeRobot workflows as they are — teleoperation, recording demonstrations, training and running policies.

How hard is the assembly?

An evening with the hex keys and the screwdriver in the box. The printed booklet and the first Lab module go step by step; no soldering and no machining are involved.

What will I pay at the border?

Import duty and VAT are charged by your country’s customs, not by us. The checkout shows an estimate for your country before you pay, and the courier collects the actual amount on delivery.

How do delivery and returns work?

The kit ships from our warehouse in China. Standard shipping is free to every country; the checkout shows the delivery time for your address and an express option before you pay. An unopened kit can be returned within 14 days of receipt for a full refund.

How can I pay?

International bank cards — Visa, Mastercard and more. Payment happens on a secure payment page.

What if a servo fails?

The servos are standard Feetech STS3215 units on a serial bus, so a single one can be replaced without touching the rest of the arm. Write to us and we will help you work out which one it is.
