Questions teachers ask¶
Is there a teacher account?¶
No. There is no teacher or school role in Robonine Lab, and no view of anybody else's progress. Plan around what the platform does and does not provide.
Can I create a class and add my students?¶
No. Classes, groups, rosters and invite codes do not exist. The roster stays in whatever you already use.
How do I buy access for twenty learners?¶
Not through the checkout — it sells one annual subscription, to one person, in their own account. For a cohort, contact hello@robonine.com and agree the arrangement before anybody buys. Options are in Access for every learner.
Is there a free trial for a school?¶
Not in the product. Modules 0 and the dashboard are open to any signed-in account, which is enough to show a group what the platform looks like, but the course itself is behind the subscription.
How do I see who has done what?¶
From their screens. There is no remote view. A dashboard check at the start of each session is the practical method; see Assessment.
Can I see quiz results or how long a module took?¶
No. Neither is recorded. Only completion is.
Can I assign specific modules, or set homework?¶
No. The order is fixed and the platform holds no assignments. Learners simply work forward; you decide where the group should be by when.
How many arms do I need?¶
One per pair is the comfortable answer. One per four works with a rotation and the virtual arm. See Arms.
Can several students use one arm at the same time?¶
No. A remote session has exactly one operator. Sharing means taking turns.
What age is this for?¶
The material is written for teenagers and adults and assumes no prior robotics. The physical work in Modules 1 and 6 needs enough manual dexterity to handle M2 screws and a four-point touch calibration. Younger groups can do it with closer supervision and more time. The platform has no parental-consent flow, so check your institution's rules on accounts before enrolling under-16s.
What data does it hold about my students?¶
An email address, a display name, the OAuth avatar if they signed in with Google or GitHub, their language, their module progress, their robots and calibrations, and any paths they record. Recorded paths are public by default and shareable by link. There is no self-service account deletion and no data export in the product; for either, write to Robonine.
Can we host it ourselves?¶
Not as a supported offering. Ask Robonine before planning around it.
The final project module is greyed out. Is the course incomplete?¶
Module 11 is still being built. The eleven before it are finished, and the certificate depends on the first seven, so the course is usable end to end — plan your own capstone in place of Module 11.
